About Jillian MacLeod

Doctorally prepared psychiatric nurse practitioner with a strong clinical background caring for highly complex patients with a full spectrum of psychiatric and medical disorders. I passionately believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundational element for clinical effectiveness and I approach psychiatry with an emphasis on building relationships rather than simply providing refills. My style incorporates a blend of psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and psychopharmacology to address patients’ unique needs and challenges. I specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ community, military and military spouses, and folks experiencing substance use disorders. In addition to providing clinical care, I am passionate about increasing visibility for psychiatric nursing within nursing education programs. I have experience teaching undergraduate nursing students at several universities in the New England area.
