With a passion for proactive risk management and reducing Total Cost of Risk, I deliver strategic risk management solutions that protect the balance sheet, enhance budget certainty and improve the Enterprise’s visibility into risk. Areas of expertise: 1) Risk financing – I model the optimum balance between risk assumption and transfer, identifying risk financing structures that more effectively deploy capital. My experience spans the full risk financing continuum, including guaranteed cost, dividend programs, small deductibles, group captives, risk retention groups, large deductibles, self-insurance and single parent captives. 2) Risk improvement – I analyze claim sources and top causes, implement targeted solutions to minimize claims and estimate their Return on Investment impact. My expertise includes technologies designed to mitigate accidents and enhance safety. 3) Coverage expansion - I pre-underwrite and strategically engage with the insurance marketplace. By educating clients on standard coverages and enhancing their terms, I secure significantly more comprehensive insurance protection. 4) Vertical specialization – I bring knowledge of the unique risks, challenges and solutions within the healthcare, non-profit and real estate industries. 5) Benchmarking – I provide premium and limit benchmarks along with analysis of underwriting components, to pinpoint and explain the underlying drivers of benchmarking variances. My goal is to analyze historical data to identify strategies that drive better financial outcomes, enabling efficient capital deployment and supporting financial goals.
