I write fiction and non-fiction for children, young adults and adults and am an experienced tutor and public speaker.My published work includes novels, poetry, collections of short stories and poetry, a book on mythology, over 60 short stories for children and adults, published in NZ & the US, and a book of creative non-fiction on the art of writing - A Guide to Creating (previously published as Fishing from the Boat Ramp.)A Guide to Creating is currently available to purchase from Amazon Kindle - work includes lecturer in writing for young adults for the Bachelor in Arts and Media at Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology, tutoring at the Highlights Foundation writing retreats in America and facilitating writing workshops in New Zealand based on my writing course The Hero's Journey.My current project is a memoir based on the year I spent building my straw bale home in a small Central Otago town near the famous Rail Trail (soon to be available on Air BNB). I spent most of my life living near the beach in Motueka, Tasman and now live in the Ida Valley, Central Otago, NZ, where I am surrounded by good friends & beautiful mountain views.
