About Jilly Roberts

I am PBS Strategic Lead for a specialist adult and children's residental care provider, and a consultant for the British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD). In addition to these roles, I also provide private supervision to individuals and consultancy to organisations. I have an MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis from the Tizard Centre at the University of Kent, an MSc in Psychiatry from King’s College London and a Postgraduate Certificate in Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) from the University of Northampton. I have worked in the field of autism, Intellectual Disabilities, mental health and ABI since 2011 in both inpatient and community settings for NHS, nonprofit and private organisations. I have worked exclusively within the field of Positive Behavioural Support since 2014 and have extensive experience of working with individuals with a variety of co-occurring diagnoses, complexities and/or forensic histories, who may display behaviours of concern and experience restrictions as a result of this. I am particularly passionate about Trauma-Informed Care and have conducted postgraduate research investigating appropriate interventions for adults with Intellectual Disabilities and PTSD symptomology.
