Engineering and Technology Manager with over 40 years of broad experience in academic, government, power, aerospace, and pharmaceutical sectors. Since 1987, an Adjunct Professor in the Mathematics Department at Villanova University teaching both night and day (since retiring from GSK) classes. Retired from GSK in April 2019. Last GSK experience was leading a team in the Marketing Systems area supporting GSK’s digital transformation strategy as applications transition from local to global based solutions. Used Value/Flow/Quality (VFQ) mindset and Agile techniques as the organization moved from a project focus to a Dev/Ops product focus in its daily operations. Provided Service Management, using ITIL and Six Sigma methods. Overall Career Experience:In the capital planning phase, propose new system development efforts by performing cost-benefit / ROI analysis using key performance indicators and metrics with anticipated benefit returns. Provide vision during system concept to meet business operational needs. Work with clients to establish business processes and define business requirements. Lead the development of systems from initial concept to system delivery, stabilization and continuing operations support. Use existing or establish new project execution processes to insure objectives are met. Manage project execution, staffing, budgets, client expectations, contracts and normal operations support. Anticipate issues and work to minimize contingencies. Define measures and monitor operations by using business based measures and Six Sigma methodology. Demonstrate success of new system development efforts and old system continuing operations based on these measures, verifying that ROI is achieved and maintained. Develop business relationships and negotiate contracts to create a win-win environment.
