About Jim Callaghan

I’m a corporate and competition lawyer by training and have worked for some of the largest law firms and companies, mostly airlines, in the world. On the outside, I was very successful. However, this impression didn’t reflect what was going on on the inside and the impact that all the late hours and constant stress were having on my physical and mental health, as well on as my relationships. In my late forties, around the birth of my fifth child, I suffered a burnout and related health issues and on my fiftieth birthday, I resolved to make a change. I wasn’t entirely sure what that change would involve and, along with my lovely wife, Natasa, also a product of stressful corporate life, we set out on our personal wellness journeys to rediscover our health. These journeys came together and we founded Wellnesstory, our health coaching company dedicated to helping former colleagues in the aviation industry to better balance their health and careers. Now our pain has become our passion and we even wrote a best selling book, ‘Ready for TAKEOFF: A practical health guide for airline executives and their teams to get back on top of their game,’ to spread the word that we don’t have to sacrifice our health for a successful career.
