About Jim Cheeks

With over 25 years of experience in the residential construction industry, I am passionate about creating quality homes and communities that enhance the lives of our clients and the environment. I am the owner of Fortas Homes, a full-service general contracting and development firm that specializes in new residential construction and small-scale developments. I have a BS in Entrepreneurial Studies from Babson College, and a strong background in business administration, project management, and energy efficiency. At RedBrick Homes, I oversee all aspects of the business, from design and budgeting to marketing and customer service. I have successfully completed several projects in the intown Atlanta area, including townhomes, single-family in-fill, and major rehabilitations. One of our proudest projects was seven homes we built in the Glenwood Park neighborhood of Atlanta, which received rave reviews from the residents and the media. I have also partnered with governmental agencies to provide residential rehabilitation and lead-based paint hazard reduction services. I am skilled in residential homes, construction, general contracting, and energy efficiency. I enjoy working with a diverse and talented team of professionals, and I always strive to deliver exceptional results and value to our customers.
