Skysun, LLC is developing solar tracking hardware with applications in CSP, PV and CPV. Our novel tensile based infrastructure both supports and aligns solar panels reducing system cost. Our closed loop active tracker for heliostats will reduce aiming errors to < 0.25 mrads. Vetting and collaboration with NASA GRC and Sandia National Labs has raised our TRL to between 4 and 5 for CSP applications. Wind survivability and on-sun tracking have been demonstrated. We studied CSP applications first due to the high accuracy required, and are beginning research with PV and CPV systems.
