About Jim Dula

I am currently the Business Development Manager for DroneLand Australia. I specialise in drone mapping and data processing, particularly using photogrammetry, LiDAR, and multispectral data. I am uniquely placed in this field given my background in traditional agriculture and horticulture, as well as the emerging legalised cannabis industry in the United States. Combining my knowledge of drones and farming has given me a strong understanding of the complexities of agriculture and the impact that technology can have on improving productivity and efficiency. As the Head of Agriculture for D1, I am at the forefront of the drone industry in Australia, working with farmers and agribusiness across the country to implement aerial technology to improve their operations. I work closely with farmers, agronomists, and other stakeholders to develop customised drone solutions that meet their specific needs. This includes mapping fields, monitoring crop health and identifying areas of stress, conducting aerial inspections of irrigation systems. The technology also has applications for monitoring plant growth in carbon farming. Beyond agriculture my drone mapping skills can be used in construction, mining, public safety, surveying, and environmental monitoring. My background in emerging agriculture and technology, and passion for healthy ecosystems, push the boundaries of what is possible with drone technology and to help businesses across a range of industries achieve their goals.
