I have been doing custom design work and Mechanical Fabrications for about 25 years. I learned SolidWorks while working at Walt Disney Imagineering R&D and love using this powerful tool. I feel my greatest skill is figuring out how to make something work. I am very creative and enjoy troubleshooting things that others may feel are impossible. It has been my responsibility to take a concept all the way through to a finished product. This includes, design, prototyping, fabrication, and testing. My favorite part is watching someone’s reaction to something that I helped create. Although I do not have a degree, I feel my experience can be a great asset to a business like yours. In my spare time in 2001, I decided to build a fully radio controlled small character where the mechanics were visible to showcase my skills. I then deisgned and built “Rico, Our Robot Friend.” Rico has 12 moves: Eyes side to side, Eyes up and down, Eyes blink, Jaw open and close, Head nod forward and back, Head tilt side to side, Right arm up and down, Left arm up and down, Torso rotates approximately 180 degrees, T.V. screen/hood open and close, Roll forward and back and rotates left and right with independent track movement.
