About Jim Halcombe

Leadership, team management, customer service, quality, and innovation drive everything Jim does. These critical points have grown from extensive experience in foodservice management, which started when Jim was a student manager at his dining services program at Berea College. Jim is focused on building and nurturing relationships with clients, customers, and stakeholder groups, and drawing inspiration from continuous feedback to ensure that his team meets the needs of clients. With oversight of all phases of planning, organizing and development, and consistent execution of programs, his team members are thoroughly trained and encouraged to exercise their creativity and innovation. By continually reviewing the service needs, concerns, and quality of diners' experiences, Jim has maintained the highest possible resident and employee satisfaction levels. Jim believes that by collaborating regularly with client liaisons, students, staff, and faculty organizations, it builds the foundation to develop strategic plans for customized programs that balance innovation with consistent high-quality services. To ensure that he leads programs that meet students' needs, he works with students; whether it's meeting with the RHA, working with student housing or engaging students through participation in town hall meetings, he listens to their feedback.
