As an experienced Road Traffic Collision Investigator within the Safety Division at TRL, Jim has attended over 300 collisions within the same time frame as the emergency services, has spent time working on many different accident research projects and has reviewed many thousands of police fatal accident files. As a member of the Network Performance Group within the Transportation Division, Jim helped create procedures to Monitor & Evaluate the traffic management systems used throughout the West Midlands areas. Prior to this Jim took the role of Data Manager and Lead Investigator within the On-The-Spot accident research project that ran from Prior to that Jim was a member of the Police Fatal Accident Research project team, this involved extracting data from reports collected from all UK police forces.
