About Jim Jarrell

After more than two decades as an in-house marketer for professional services firms (and specifically law firms for the last 13 years) where he often led the strategic marketing and business development function for several firms, Jim recently launched Lawgix Advisory Group, a professional services consultancy focused on business management practices, marketing and business development initiatives, and strategic planning. Jim's career experience has included the soup-to-nuts execution and implementation of annual firm-wide and practice group level marketing, communications, and business development plans, as well advising and coaching individual professionals to plan and execute goal-oriented practice development strategies. A Certified Business Development Coach (by the Legal Sales & Service Organization), Jim has developed and conducted formal training programs covering a variety of marketing and business development topics - many that have been accepted and approved for continuing legal education (CLE) credits across multiple jurisdictions. In addition to his work, Jim is an active member of and volunteer for the Legal Marketing Association’s Midwest Region (returning to the region he started in LMA more than a dozen years ago as a member of LMA-Ohio), and after 7 years as a member, former-Treasurer and former-President-Elect for the LMA Northeast Region. Jim is a 2014 graduate of George Washington University's Master's degree program in Law Firm Management, where he was honored - along with the rest of his cohort - with the Stephen R. Chitwood Award for Academic Excellence, bestowed by the co-directors of the program to the entire class that year in honor of the combined cohort's extraordinary academic excellence and achievement.
