About Jim McCarthy

Veteran professional with 20+ years in project management, relationship development and program implementation. I have nearly 25 years experience in all major facets of management, including project development, community outreach, operations, planning, marketing, sales and budgeting. My passion is to change lives by connecting people to ideas. I joined Brookdale Community College in 2002 where I direct the development, implementation and coordination of projects and services. All designed to meet the needs of the individual, community, organizations and local businesses. Prior to joining Brookdale Community College, I was Vice President of Operations for Learning Technologies Corporation, a proprietary vocational school and regional training center specializing in the instruction of desktop and high-end computer software programs. I also served in various positions with Kentile Floors Inc, Allied-Signal-Flight Systems Division, and Singer-Kearfott Division. I serve my community through leadership in The Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce, serving as past Chair of the Chamber's Board of Directors and its Executive Committee. I hold an MBA in marketing from the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University and received my bachelor’s degree in business administration from the College of Business at William Paterson University.
