About Jim Sheehan

Biography for Jim Sheehan, Wisetek Jim Sheehan has extensive experience in the high tech industry having started working for Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) in Galway, Ireland straight out of college in 1977. Jim Also worked for Wang Laboratories in a European Purchasing Management capacity in the 1980’s as well as a number of smaller companies in between. It was with a London based company, Mega Media that he helped to introduce the first refilling of used HP laser toner cartridges to the UK market around 1985 Jimworked as the Chief Sustainability and Remarketing Officer for Wisetek based in Cork, Ireland beforw taking up his current position in Dubai. Jim is now working on growing the Wisetek business in the Middle East and Africa as well as supporting growth in the Asia Pacific markets. Wisetek also has operations in Franklin, Massachusetts and Laem Chabang in Thailand. Jim set up the recycling and remarketing arm of Wisetek about five years ago and was instrumental in the successful implementation of the R2 standards in the Irish and Thai facilities. Wisetek was the third company in Europe and the 4th in Asia to receive certification to the standard. Wisetek is also now certified in the American facility. I retired on the 20th of September 2024 and am looking forward to improving my golf handicap and lots of DIY.
