Jim Waters is an experienced researcher/educator/developer. Jim has broad experience at the intersection of Human Factors/Human-Computer Interaction, Online Learning and systems development fields. Jim's extensive research record covers practical and theoretical issues of enhancing online learning environments. Jim Waters has extensive experience of commercial systems Development and development team management. Jim's extensive industry experience includes Analyst, designer and programmer on major government, financial and educational projects. This includes expertise in database systems, training and systems testing, computer forensics and expert witness roles. Jim's has broad expertise in online learning evaluation and development. Jim was the evaluation specialist for the ISLE project, a radical innovative collaborative computer-based learning platform, at Heriot-Watt University (UK). Jim was employed as the UK Universities’ National Evaluation Officer for the BioNet Teaching and Learning Technology (TLTP) Program. Jim's Phd (Information Studies) was focused on online learning.
