About Jim Weber

I've managed/operated a variety of businesses and gained a wealth of experience. However I am more proud of my ability to create programs and/or operations from scratch. City of Columbus had no real joint use position or program prior to my arrival. No one even understood what it entailed. At that time neither did I. I have defined the program, implemented it, and created the necessary components to make it run. After moving to a new division I have had to do considerable reworking of all reporting. More importantly I have had to rebuild trust, communication, and positive relationships with an extremely wide variety of stakeholders. From senior administration, contractors, third parties, down to janitorial staff. I feel that this ability is my most valuable asset. The Ignition Interlock program in WV was the first of it's kind in the nation. I was hired to set up the physical operation, hire & train staff, and develop all the procedures necessary to operate the program. I was also the person to create, develop, and maintain the relationships with the state agencies and relevant personalities necessary to run the program. I was the chief lobbyist and developed the successful strategy to get necessary legislation passed. In the investigative field, developing each case based on it's merits and circumstances was routine. My experiences in the hotel management field were much the same. Go to a property, figure out what was needed, develop the fix, and implement it. Thus, I am experienced with government operations, lobbying, drafting legislation. Have also had extensive experience with criminal law and investigations. Experienced in drafting and negotiating contracts and joint operations agreements Additional background in plant maintenance and operations with good knowledge of electical distribution operations. Also have extesnive experience in hotel/service industry Specialties: Legislative, govt. operations, technical operations, hospitality.
