About Jimith Joy

I am a highly skilled professional with over Seven years of experience in Design and Development within the Automotive Industry, specializing in both interior and exterior components. My background also includes valuable experience in the semiconductor industry, which has broadened my technical capabilities. My core expertise lies in working with plastics and sheet metal for automotive applications. I have a proven ability to implement design modifications tailored to customer requirements while ensuring quality and performance. I have consistently delivered results in New Product Development, including Reverse Engineering, Prototype Development, and Mold/Press Tool Development, all within time and budget constraints. I am proficient in DFMEA and ANSYS, enabling me to design injection molds with various ejection methods and accommodate diverse shapes and materials. My skills also include Moldflow analysis and tonnage calculation. With hands-on experience in injection molds and sheet metal press tools, I have contributed to the development of automotive interior components such as instrument panels, cross car beams, and door trims. I have a solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD & T) and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with industry standards. I am well-versed in CAD tools including AutoCAD, CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, and PTC Creo, and I effectively manage projects using PLM/PDM systems such as Teamcenter, SAP, and Windchill. Academically, I hold a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University and a Diploma in Tool and Die Making from NTTF Tellicherry. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a commitment to innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
