I am a strategic business leader and consultant. I help organizations improve performance by transforming leaders, creating inclusive environments, and weaving diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) seamlessly into their work. I specialize in strategic planning, DEI, human resources, leadership development, workplace culture, and operations. As a speaker, I make it safe and desirable for people to face and overcome their biases to become inclusive leaders. I also show people how to seamlessly weave DEI into their normal business rhythms and decision making processes. I use humor, real-life stories, and music to inspire and equip people to be more inclusive and grow their business with DEI at the center. You won't just walk away changed; you'll walk away equipped to create change!I have led the human resources divisions for two organizations, bringing a people-centered approach to the work and emphasizing equity, inclusion, productivity, collaboration and improved business results. I am a specialist in org design, change management, process development/improvement, and org effectiveness.I am able to help an organization build a diversity program from the ground up, including vision creation, strategic planning, program building, training, and business integration. I bring a simple, holistic, action-oriented approach to diversity with an emphasis on cultivating self-awareness, a natural, mindful practice of inclusion and a fire for equity. I have worked with businesses, schools, churches, nonprofits, and government institutions. The award winning programs has led have been featured on NBC-TV and ABC-TV.I play guitar, harmonica, slide guitar, mandolin and banjo. I am the lead singer of the band, Jimmi and the Band of Souls. The band is the only band to ever represent Minnesota twice at International Blues Challenge. Our album “The Devil You Know” was voted best self-produced blues album in Minnesota for 2011.
