A community builder, investor and coach, Jimmy leverages deep experience as a leader in multiple functions and arenas to help others pursue their goals and life dreams. Jimmy’s unwavering commitment to investing in and empowering others underlies every aspect of his work. Currently, Jimmy helps shape inclusion, growth and recruiting initiatives in support of all financial advisors at LPL Financial, as part of the commitment to be the firm of choice for advisors from historically underrepresented communities. Jimmy is also a co-founder of Forefront Capital, an early stage venture capital firm-turned-angel investing syndicate that invests in exceptional underestimated founders. As Managing Partner, he developed the group’s investment thesis, led its fundraising and marketing activities, and leads its portfolio management. The syndicate invests in numerous tech startups that are creating economic opportunities and confronting inequalities across multiple sectors, including dating, mental health, finance, and education. Prior to Forefront Capital, Jimmy managed a $38B portfolio of public and private market investments for ultra high net worth clients at Vanguard. He also was the first Head of Talent Attraction and Front Office Operations in Vanguard's Personal Advisor Services business, after successful leadership tenures in the Financial Advisor Services and Strategy & Finance divisions. Jimmy is a BLCK VC Black Venture Institute Fellow and a Cap Table Coalition member. He has an MBA from Wayne State University and a BA in Accounting from Michigan State University, as well as multiple FINRA licenses.
