Hello! I’m Jin, but you can also call me Fiona. I’m a after hour nurse manager (AHNM) working for NSW Health, and I’ve been dedicated to nursing for the past 11 years. This career has been a fulfilling journey filled with both challenges and profound rewards. There’s something incredible about being there for people at their most vulnerable moments, supporting their recovery, and witnessing their resilience as they regain their health. Beyond nursing, I’ve always had a natural curiosity about the universe. Since I was a child, I’ve been captivated by scientific questions, constantly wondering how things work on the most fundamental level. This curiosity led me to study physics at the University of Sydney in 2013, where I’ve been a part-time student, balancing my career and studies. Though progress is slow, I’m deeply passionate about physics and committed to advancing my understanding—even if it takes years. My ultimate goal is to bridge the worlds of science and healthcare, combining my knowledge and skills to make a difference both in my community today and for future generations. Becoming both a health professional and a scientist is more than a career ambition for me; it’s a life-long dream to contribute to the wellbeing and knowledge of the world around me.
