About Jinal Sameer Shah

Currently, I am the Assistant Professor of marketing at the School of Business Management at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.(June 2023 till date) Prior to this, I was the Assistant Professor of Marketing at the School of Commerce at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.(June 2020 to May 2023) Before this, I was the Head of the Department for Management Studies course at SIES College for eight years.(June 2012 to May 2020) Completed Ph.D. in the area of MOOC Adoption.(March 2023) A Gold medallist in MBA from K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies, I have also completed M.com. I have cleared the NET SET exams in commerce and management five times. Won nine times the award for best research paper at various international conferences from prestigious educational institutions like MICA, JBIMS, SIMSR, SIECOMS, etc. I have seven publications to my credit – One in ADBC - A*, four in ABDC – C Category, one in Scopus, and one in UGC Care List. I have authored Marketing Management, Consumer Behaviour, Digital Marketing, and Brand Management books. I am also a contributing author at the portal Strategy Story, with eight articles to my credit. I have also published two cases in the 15th edition of Marketing Management by Phillip Kotler. I am also the content developer for the 5th edition of Strategic Brand Management, authored by Kevin Keller, Ambi Parmeswaran, and Isaac Jacob, and it has a special mention in the book. I have been recognized as Best Young Teacher by the Higher Education Forum (HEF) for outstanding contribution to higher education in 2022. I have attended various workshops on research methodology, teaching pedagogy, and case-based methods of teaching from IITs, IIMs, NITIE, NMIMS, SIMSR, and other prestigious institutions. With a deep passion for Personal Branding on LinkedIn, I have taken sessions in several colleges in India & Abroad, like IIMs, IITs, JBIMS, and various schools & campuses of NMIMS.
