Background
About Jit Chatterjee
I am currently a doctoral student, and my research focuses on the "AI-driven generation of 6-DoF Extended Reality". I graduated from the Bengal Institute of Technology (MAKAUT, India) in 2016 with a B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Following that, I spent three years working at Tata Consultancy Services (R&D) in the field of Image processing and Machine Learning. In 2019, I moved to France to pursue a Master of Science in Informatics at ENSIMAG, Grenoble INP. During my time in France, I had the opportunity to work as a research intern at GIPSA Lab and Faurecia. My Master's Thesis, completed at Dassault Systèmes in Paris, focused on "Deep Learning for automatic inference of 3D environments from a single 2D image." This thesis was the final piece before I graduated with my Master's degree (avec la mention bien). In November 2022, I joined KU Leuven, Group T campus (e-Media Lab), Department of Electrical Engineering (ESAT) as a Ph.D. student under the supervision of Prof. Maria Torres Vega.
