My present Role is Corporate Lead-ER/IR with Indian Position Title - Dy. General Manager-ER (Corporate), report in to the Vice President (ER). We look after (fourteen thousand) headcount which is spread across 32 Manufacturing Plants in India Of these 13 are Unionized with 16 Unions). These Plants are classified in three Business Units / Divisions i.e. Auto Electricals, Metallic, Polymer. Plants are based at Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chennai, Bangalore, Rajasthan, Punjab, Greater Noida, Pantnagar. Its a renowned Indian MNC conglomerate engaged in Design, Develop, Manufacture, Sales, Services and R&D of Tire 1 Auto components across the World. Total Turnover is around INR Cr. of which approx. INR Cr belongs to India operations. Being Second in Command / Line with the Employee Relations function, my Role is Lead-ER for India, report in to the VP-ER. It comprises Strategic ER, diagnosing problems, recommending solutions, design, develop, Policies, Procedures, Guidelines, ER Budgeting, Planning, Initiatives etc and establish Corporate Governance thereon through facilitating periodical Reviews / Audits followed by Reward & Recognition Key activities comprise therein are Wage Negotiations, Employee Relations, ER Budgeting, General Administration on Welfare, drive Workforce Composition- Recruting & Succession Planning, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Diversity & Inclusion, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Monitor Compliance, Contract Labour, Floating Manpower Management, Wage Revisions-Impact Assessment and putting Recommendations, Disciplinary & Grievance Procedures, Teamwork, Foster Open Communication to shop workforce and Unions, drive Agenda for Proactive Employee Relations, Partnering with the BU HR Head, lead wage negotiations, handle conflicts, disruptions, guide and support Plant HR Heads for disciplinary actions, Court Matters, Compliances, Government Visits and Inspections, Litigations, Coach & Mentor Plant HR Teams Prepare periodical and occasional updates on ER Affairs for Corporate HR, BU wise Operational Review with Senior Management, Executive Committee, and the Board. From improving and maintaining Cross-Industry Relations, Government Liaison and knowledge enhancement on amendments in Law, IR Environment, Movements etc, participate in Industrial Forums with the Maratha Chamber of Commerce, Industries & Agriculture (MCCIA), CII, Productivity Councils, Federations etc.
