Retired as Public Relations Officer of State Bank of Patiala- Represented Punjab Schools in the National School Games in the year 1960-1962- Silver medal - National School Games- Represented Punjabi University Patiala T.T Team in the All India Inter- University Tournament held at Jadavpur (Kolkata)- Representing Punjab State for 30 years both at the Junior, Senior & Veterans Level- Visited Sri Lanka & Nepal with the Punjab Team- Captained the Punjab T.T Squad which won the All India Federation Cup- Gold Medal - Delhi State: League Championship - Captain combined Associate Bank’s Team in the All India SBI Inter Circle Tournament where I emerged All India Champion- National T.T Umpire and have the proud honour of having umpired in the World T.T championship in the year 1975 (Kolkata) and 1987 (New Delhi)- Umpired in the Asian Games in 1982, Test Matches between India-Japan (Jallandhar), India –Russia (Madras), India-Indonesia-Malaysia (Meerut), India-Swedan (New Delhi). During Asian Games I had privilege of umpiring India-Pakistan tie which was witnessed by the then Prime Minister Mrs. India Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi & Sh. Amitabh Bachchan and many other celebrities- Coaching Assignments form Punjab and Kurukshetra Universities. I also served State School of Sports at Jalandhar, as T.T. Coach. Coach for the Punjab Squad, which represented in the National Games held at Bangalore in 1997- Coached the Punjab State T.T. Veteran’s Team, which won the Gold in the National Veterans T.T. held at Chandigarh in 2002- Currently State Veteran Champion for the last 9 years and I also represent India in Veterans for the last 5 years. I have won the Gold Medal in the Doubles Event in the National T.T. held at Sindhri (Dhanbad) in 2001, Silver Medal in 2005 held at Hyderabad, Silver Medal in National T.T. held at Coimbatore, again Silver Medal at Bangalore in 2006, Bronze Medal in the year 2009 and Silver Medal in year 2010 National TT at Jammu. Specialties: Qualified Table Tennis Coach from National Institute of Sports, Patiala where I passed out in the year 1965 under Mr. Ivan Andreadis World No.2 of Czechoslovakia.
