Hi, I’m Jiwon! I’m a PhD Candidate in Organizational Behavior at Stanford Graduate School of Business. I study how cultural boundaries and structural positions interact to shape outcomes in markets and organizations. My research focuses on cultural industries and entrepreneurship, with particular attention to digital platforms and global market dynamics. I use methods such as panel data analysis, network analysis, agent-based modeling, and computational text analysis. One line of work examines how foreign actors use cross-cultural collaborations to navigate symbolic boundaries and gain visibility in new cultural markets, using large-scale data from the global music industry.
