About Jiyoung Moon

During my journey spanning over seven years in both my PhD and postdoc, I've dedicated myself to innovating and optimizing new photonic devices, with a proven track record of publishing 15 scientific journals. Through this experience, I've discovered several key traits about myself: • I have a passion for analyzing problems and finding effective solutions. My proactive and tenacious approach to problem-solving has been instrumental in my successes. • I thrive in collaborative environments, enjoying the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. This allows me to continually learn new skills from experts in the field. My ability to quickly adapt to new skills has consistently led to high-quality results, as recognized by my colleagues and team members. I have extensive hands-on experience and knowledge in the following areas: • Characterization Techniques: Advanced expertise in SEM, OM, XRD, AFM; Proficient in XPS, FTIR, Ellipsometry, and Photoluminescence spectroscopy; Competent in TEM and constructing optical setups; Beginner in C-V measurements. • Fabrication: Advanced expertise in Electron-beam lithography, Photolithography, Nanoimprint lithography, Plasma dry-etching, and Chemical wet-etching; Proficient in Chemical solution synthesis, ALD, PECVD, 2D material manipulation, Metal sputter, and Electron-beam evaporator. • Software Skills: Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Origin, and ImageJ; Intermediate in LabVIEW and MATLAB; Beginner in Comsol simulation. I'm open to research and engineering job opportunities in the DFW area that align with my key traits, experiences, and knowledge.
