About Jo Distefano

With over 25 years of experience as an occupational therapist and a special education leader, Jo DiStefano is the founder and president of Access 7 Services, a company that provides a range of professional and educational services to school districts across Long Island and New York City. Jo is certified in the Sensory Integration Perspectives and NDT trained, and has a holistic and nurturing approach to help individuals achieve optimal independent functioning in the school and home environments. Jo oversees the strategic direction and operations of Access 7 Services, which offers licensed and qualified practitioners in various service areas, such as occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, behavior intervention, resource room, special education, school aide, social work, psychology, translation, and parent counseling and training. Jo also builds and maintains relationships with key school district personnel, addresses day-to-day concerns for clients, and provides practitioner development training courses and administrative services. Jo's mission is to deliver high-quality and personalized services that meet the diverse needs of students, families, and educators.
