Background
About Jo Hendrikx
I have worked in sustainability education for over 20 years, predominantly in the field of waste reduction and recycling with enthusiasm, success and enjoyment. My recent and continuing experiences include circular economy and resource recovery education with schools and community, citizen science microplastic sampling and recording and managing a holiday accommodation business. I have collaboratively developed engagement tools to support behaviour change which have resulted in a number of schools reducing material sent to landfill by more than 95%. Work with public events and conferences has also achieved significant resource recovery.I am an approachable, enthusiastic person who works well independently and as part of a team. I enjoy working with a diverse range of groups and seek to work in the area of education for sustainability. I am keen to pursue work in the education and community engagement space to connect people with the natural world on land, sea and sky to improve quality of life for all.
