About Joachim van Eetvelde

With over 13 years of experience in the electronics industry, I am a passionate and skilled system validation team lead at Niko, a leading company in home automation systems, energy management solutions, video access control systems, sensors, switches and sockets. My core competencies include testing, software testing, release management, supplier management. I am also a certified ScrumMaster and ISTQB tester, with advanced knowledge in test management. My mission is to ensure the quality and reliability of Niko's products and services, and to contribute to the innovation and growth of the company. I value teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I work with colleagues from different offices and countries. As a system validation team lead, I am responsible for the system validation within the R&D department, with offices in Belgium, Spain, and Denmark. I coach team members, organize the team, keep a high-level overview of everything system validation related, and make sure no issues are left behind. I am also responsible for release management, aligning the projects within the different programs and making sure we don't overcommit. I look for and implement improvements, and I follow up on technical supplier agreements and identify needs. I also define and execute test automation strategies and tools, using my software testing skills and knowledge. I have successfully tested and released software for embedded devices, PC, mobile, and web platforms, ensuring the satisfaction and loyalty of Niko's customers.
