Background

About Joakim Lind

Experienced PR and communications consultant and educator with over 20 years in strategic communication, public relations, and brand development. I hold a PhD in International Marketing from Åbo Akademi University, where my research focuses on narrative theory, place branding, and value creation. I work at the intersection of place branding, tech-oriented B2B communication, and public-sector strategy, supporting clients from government agencies to regional development bodies across Sweden and the Nordic countries. My academic work contributes a framework that bridges theory and practice, offering insights and tools for policymakers, place developers, and stakeholders in the fields of communication, culture, media, and societal development. With extensive teaching and lecturing experience in Sweden and internationally, I regularly engage with topics such as public relations, media strategy, strategic communication, and the branding of places and cultural initiatives. I welcome contact from colleagues, collaborators, and organizations interested in research-based development, strategic communication, or initiatives where narrative and place intersect. I am open to engagements that align with my expertise and experience.
