About Joan Byng

With almost 30 years in the natural gas industry with Union Gas and now Enbridge Gas, I have been fortunate to experience various facets of the business, including corporate integration and transformation, lands and permitting, carbon policy, transportation procurement, opportunities management, project management, regulatory coordination, financial support, and human resources. I am now leading the team of talented professionals that manage all aspects of the customer support experience for our largest commercial and industrial customers. I rely on my strengths in communication, relationship management and organization to tackle new challenges with a positive outlook. I value variety of experience, diversity of perspectives, and the interchange of ideas with those inside and outside of our organization in order to continue to develop and identify opportunities for organizational and personal growth. Outside of the office, I get great satisfaction in volunteering for local and provincial charitable and non-profit causes, such as the Chatham-Kent Hospice, Canadian Cancer Society and the United Way. In my 'spare' time, I love travelling with my husband, socializing with family and friends, tending to my garden, exploring watercolour art and staying fit through running.
