About Joan Dillon

With over 40 years of work experience in the child development field, I am the Executive Director of Glassboro Child Development Centers (GCDC), a non-profit organization that provides quality early childhood education and family support services. I am responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, fiscal management, program development, and staff supervision of GCDC, which serves over 500 children and families annually. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Rowan University, and I have developed skills in leadership, child development, and staff development through my education and work experience. My core competencies include creating a positive and nurturing environment for children and staff, building strong partnerships with parents and community stakeholders, and implementing best practices and standards for early childhood education. My mission is to ensure that every child in our program receives the care, education, and support they need to thrive and succeed. I value diversity and I strive to foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous learning among our staff and families. I am proud to lead GCDC, to create and support new leaders in the field, and to make a difference in the lives of children and families in our community.
