About Joan Lovler

As a member of the Quality department, I bring over 15 years of cardiac surgical nursing experience to quality reporting. Past experience includes abstraction of CMS Core Measure data for VTE, ED, Sepsis, and Psych, as well as the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines (GWTG) Heart Failure Program, Joint Commission Advanced Heart Failure Metrics, the National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR) for ICD implants, Atrial fibrillation, and currently, the Chest Pain/MI Registry. In addition to data reporting, I work with the services, meeting monthly to review compliance, readmission rates, and strategize for improvements in our Institutions measure results. My position also involves working closely with our Chief Medical Information Officer and IT department, to facilitate the capture of mandatory data within our Electronic Health Record. As a committed member of the Quality Department, my focus is on high quality data capture, and the education and facilitation of Quality data reporting within my Institution.
