About Joan Tan

I think of marketing as the sweet spot where business acumen meets creativity—finding ideas that move people and markets and still make sense on the balance sheet. Over nearly two decades across HRTech, FinTech, RegTech, financial services, and real estate investment, I’ve helped multinationals and high-potential start-ups across APAC, EMEA, and global markets drive revenue, strengthen brand equity, and transform marketing into a strategic growth engine. Outside of work, you’ll often find me in the garden, tending plants, practising patience, and experimenting with new plant varieties and techniques. In fact, gardening reminds me that growth rarely happens overnight—it takes the right conditions, steady care, and the courage to prune what no longer serves. Strategic marketing is much the same: it’s about planning, nurturing ideas, and giving bold initiatives the space to take root and flourish.
