About Joan Tauman

Being in the Food and Beverage industry for over 20 years, I have performed every job in a bar and grill from running a dish pit to seating guests- appreciating the hard work and importance of each of these roles. Almost all of this experience has been at American Bar and Grill -style or hotel restaurants, with an emphasis on catering and banquets- though I have dabbled with fine dining and diners in my younger serving days. Not sure where this fits in, but I ran the Philly Pretzel Factory in Pottstown, PA it's last two year before the owner declined to renew their contract for personal reasons. I also had a big front page feature in our company's newspaper (HoTo) because of my customer service skills. Between Philly Pretzel and tossing pizza dough at Sly Fox Pottstown in turn of PPF, I'm really good with bread-stuff. 🤷 I have 13+ years of bar experience including inventory, scheduling, and maintenance duties. I can also claim about twelve years of boh work experience thanks to cross training, a love for the industry, having to pay bills, and things just needing to GET DONE at the job. I have spent the last three years as a popular and tenured establishment's sous chef in Chester Springs, PA. While I am very happy at my current job, the workplace is very family like and all, my bank doesn't accept good vibes- and I'm always trying to grow.
