About Joana Eitner

My career in design has been shaped by diverse experiences across several industries, including retail, agriculture, tech, and most recently, logistics. While studying at university, I discovered my passion for UX/UI design during an Erasmus program abroad, and since then, I have been on a journey to master this field. Over the years, I’ve worked with companies like Imaginary Cloud, where I contributed to building user-centric digital products across multiple sectors, including tech and agriculture. My role involved working closely with development teams to ensure that the design met both user needs and business goals. I am now part of ZigZag Global, where I focus on optimizing returns logistics through thoughtful and efficient design solutions. This role has deepened my expertise in simplifying complex systems and improving user experience at a large scale. My interests lie in design methodologies like Research, Accessibility, Design Systems and Agile Design, which enable teams to create cohesive, scalable products that adapt to changing needs. I’m passionate about using design to solve real-world problems and thrive on collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless, impactful experiences. I actively seek out opportunities to develop my skills in these areas to stay at the forefront of industry trends. While I am passionate about my work, I believe in the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between professional life and personal interests. Outside of work, you’ll often find me engaging in sports, creating music, or spending time with friends and family. I also have a deep love for travel and believe that experiencing new cultures broadens my perspective and informs my approach to design.
