A lifelong resident of Maryland, Joann Autry is now retired. With more than twenty years experience as a professional, confidential, Senior Executive Assistant. Ms. Autry is the former Director of the Office of Managing Partner to William H. Murphy at the powerhouse legal team of Murphy, Falcon, & Murphy, P.A. Ms. Autry previously served as Executive Assistant to J. Dennis Hastert, Former Speaker of The United States House of Representatives, The Honorable Porter J. Goss, Former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, The Honorable Joseph Davies Tydings, Former United States Senator for Maryland, and The Honorable William S. Sessions, Former Director of The Federal Bureau of Investigation. Ms. Autry also served as Executive Assistant to Maryland Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr. during his entire term in office, and was also the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director/Chief Operating Officer of an intellectual property law firm. She has also served as Executive Assistant to a former member of Congress, and a former Deputy Mayor. In addition to the customary Executive Assistant skill set, including scheduling, Ms. Autry also has experience with successfully resolving conflict among colleagues, as well as serving as a liaison on behalf of senior management. She is mature, reliable, polished, professional, articulate, proactive, and an organized self-starter who takes administrative direction well, can work independently and as part of a team. Ms. Autry has excellent oral and written communication skills, works successfully with all levels of an executive or law firm hierarchy, and is accustomed to interacting with domestic and international heads of state, ambassadors and other dignitaries, and celebrities. Ms. Autry is a Member-At-Large of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, and a Member of the American Society of Administrative Professionals.
