About Joann Murphey

With 30+ years of experience in wholesale, retail and customer service related environments, I have a wide range of skills and experience that lend to all types of business administration and growth. I have worked in Textiles (fabrics and hardware) for a good portion of that time and enjoyed it thoroughly. I also spent several years selling personal & commercial lines of insurance which was not quite as fulfilling to me as the textile industry. Almost two years ago I joined the automotive industry and consequently BDC Management. I have found this to be the industry that I truly enjoy the most of any in my career to date. I manage a crew of 12-14 Business Development Reps that I have trained and cultured into an amazingly productive team for a 6 dealership strong automotive group. I find it challenging and rewarding and am looking forward to what the future brings in this ever changing industry. I have much more to learn and look forward to expansion and new growth in my company. I have an outgoing, friendly personality that leads to great working relationships and I have learned valuable lessons on team management and relationship building from working as a BDC Manager.
