With over 25 years of experience in the mental health care industry, I am a dedicated and compassionate nursing leader who strives to provide quality and holistic care to patients and families. As the Director of Nursing at Glenwood Behavioral Health Hospital, I oversee the clinical operations, staff development, and quality improvement initiatives of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.I have a strong background in nursing administration, having served as an Interim Nurse Manager at Horizon Health, Inc. and a Night Shift Supervisor and Forensic Nurse Manager at Summit Behavioral Health. In these roles, I managed the daily operations, budget, staffing, and performance of the nursing units, as well as coordinated the delivery of patient care and services across multidisciplinary teams. I have also developed and implemented policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance the efficiency, safety, and satisfaction of the nursing staff and the patients. I possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Arts in Registered Nursing, Nursing Administration, Nursing Research and Clinical Nursing from The College of Mount St. Joseph. I am skilled in various electronic medical record systems, such as Epic, Wellsky-HCS, and others, as well as Microsoft Office, customer service, public speaking, and strategic planning. I am passionate about advancing the nursing profession and improving the mental health outcomes of the communities I serve.
