With over 20 years of experience as a Memory Care RN, I have dedicated my career to delivering compassionate, person-centered care for individuals with Alzheimer's and related dementias. My role required critical thinking under pressure to manage complex care needs and ensure safety in high-stakes situations.During my time in the Memory Care Unit, I demonstrated technical expertise by assisting in an EMR implementation, ensuring order accuracy, training staff, and resolving technical issues efficiently. I am pursuing an MS in Nursing Informatics and am passionate about leveraging informatics to enhance patient safety and optimize healthcare systems.As part of my graduate program, I am applying my strengths as a problem solver by developing a hospital-wide post-fall monitoring tool at a leading academic medical center in the Intermountain West. This initiative standardizes care after unwitnessed falls, reflecting my commitment to improving patient outcomes through innovative, evidence-based solutions.My background includes proficiency in SNOMED CT, FHIR, LOINC, HL7 standards, and CDSS, all of which support my technical expertise in integrating technology into clinical workflows.
