About Joanna Baker

Currently working in Gallup, NM for the school system here, and I do enjoy my job. but am always up for a new challenge. While I lived in Houston, TX working for Phillips 66, I realized I was missing out on my family and the people I was closest to, including my kids, who were early 20's at the time. I enjoyed my position at ConocoPhillips, however the company shut down our plant down which is the primary reason I took the job with Phillips 66. I am involved in a fraternal organization called the SNPJ which is headquartered in Imperial, PA and have lived near there in the past. Although I don't live there anymore, I do have obligations to a Slovenian fraternal org that I've belonged to my entire life. I'm the Chairwoman for the Audit committee of their National Board. I raised 2 awesome young men as a single mother, they are now 27 and 30. I have an associates in Information Technology and have worked in hazmat transportation for at least 8 years, shipping lpg and natural gasoline across the US, Canada and Mexico by rail. I have also been involved in the front end of the trucking operation: carding drivers, making sure they are licensed correctly and setting up accounts. I am diligent about my work but also like to create an enjoyable work environment. My current position utilizes my education as a System Operator for the GMCS school district here in Gallup, NM. Our team manages student and staff information, creates classes for scheduling, troubleshoots any software issues they might have, among many other things, including registration support. We have 32 schools that we manage in this district.
