As the Assistant Director of the University of Florida Innovation Academy (IA), I support the IA cocurriculars, events, marketing and communications, internship opportunities, and more. I also serve as the Advisor to the IA Ambassador program. Our goal at the University of Florida Innovation Academy is to prepare students with 21st century skills, focusing on Creativity, Ethics, Leadership and Entrepreneurship. IA Students are pursuing a minor in Innovation across a variety of 25+ majors at the University of Florida on a unique Spring/Summer calendar. This opens up their Fall semester to pursue internships, co-ops, study abroad opportunities, or online classes. We see a future full of optimistic innovators that desire to utilize design thinking to solve global challenges through experimental and creative problem solving.
