About Joanna Griffiths

Educated to Degree level in Occupational Therapy (OT), with a wealth of experience and knowledge. I have a professional attitude, independent learning skills and client-centeredness. I am a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy which allows me to keep up to date with legislative changes and best practice within the OT profession. Fully registered with the Health Care Professions Council. At all times I comply within the Royal College of Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and national and local policies and procedures. I recognise the importance of quality of care received by patients and that their welfare is highly significant and the accountability I hold as a health professional is vital to the continuous improvement of that care received by patients.I am a hard working enthusiastic and motivated individual. I strive to be a dependable, supportive, conscientious team leader furthermore providing a high standard of care, support and professionalism as a occupational therapist. I believe the skills, knowledge and experiences I have are an asset to the team I work within and client group.I have recently obtained a promotion as an Advanced Therapist within a Frailty Assessment unit. Which allows me to use my transferable skills from my time in community services to ensure holistic client centred care ensuring patients can safely return home, and preventing an avoidable hospital admission. Through my clinical experiences I have networked with other OT’s, AHP’s and social care colleagues which is beneficial when needing support, guidance in these areas. I would like to be of the view my peers feel I am approachable and feel valued and supported when/if they come to me for support and advice be that from a professional or personal view point. I exhibit exceptional professional practice and take pride in advocating the team I work within and my profession to others.
