About Joanna Jackson

After leaving university in I worked as a legal assistant at a top 500 law firm in Somerset and then in local government legal services before qualifying as a Commercial/Commercial Property Solicitor in 2006 at a local Dorset firm. I joined the Steele Raymond Property Team as an Associate in January 2014 and was promoted to Senior Associate in April 2015.I moved to Farnfields LLP in November 2017 to pursue new challenges a little closer to home.I am a proactive lawyer with a keen client focus and enjoy all aspects of commercial property work and in particular development work and supporting my Company Commercial Colleagues with the property aspects of business sales.Specialisms• acting on Sales and purchases of commercial premises • advising on Commercial leases – (acting for either Landlord or Tenant) in relation to offices, retail units, industrial units • dealing with business sales and purchases where the property is the main asset • acting on development site sales and acquisitions including options, overage and pre-emption agreements relating to development sites and larger commercial projects incorporating development agreements, warranties, contractor appointments and forward funding agreements.• providing support to the Company & Commercial Team in relation to property matters on share and asset sales • dealing with bank and building society refinancing• advising on land transactions with and for Charities
