About Joanna King

Joanna is passionate about social responsibility and environmental sustainability, and achieved her Graduate Diploma in Social Responsibility and Sustainability from the University of Toronto's St. Michael's College in November 2022. A lifelong learner, Joanna holds an MBA in Innovation from the University of Fredericton, a BA in International Development Studies from Dalhousie University, a Graduate Certificate in Public Relations from Humber College, a Diploma in Holistic Nutrition from the Edison Institute of Nutrition, and Four Seasons of Reconciliation course from First Nations University of Canada. She has also completed LEADS in a Caring Environment and Just Culture training. An experienced communicator, stakeholder engager, and program manager, her career has spanned some 20 years with roles in communications, program management, and planning and performance for not-for-profits and the healthcare sector. She is a seasoned communicator with strong interpersonal skills and an affinity for building relationships through her authentic and inclusive approach with others. A curious thinker, Joanna seeks opportunities and solutions when faced with challenges. Change is embraced while remaining focused on strategic goals and organizational deliverables. She is an individual who thrives working both independently and on teams.
