About Joanne Hall

I enjoyed a 19 year teaching career with the East Providence School Department in East Providence, RI. I am a Highly Qualified teacher with life-time Elementary Education (1-6)certification in RI, with a concentration in Science, and Middle School endorsement. I also possess teaching certificates in Massachusetts (lifetime) and Texas. During my tenure, I taught first and second grades with high concentrations of ESL and resource students; co-wrote, and was awarded, a technology grant, as well as a grant for a Conflict Resolution Program in which I worked with our 4th graders; taught after-school science clubs; assisted in district-wide curriculum development; and trained in math mentorship. After leaving the East Providence, Rhode Island, public school system, I created original, educational materials for HaveFunTeaching.com. Along with my husband and our three children, I have traveled the US exploring and learning for 7 years (2011-2018). I have experience managing at Yogi Bear Jellystone Park campgrounds, including the Activities Department, as well as volunteering at Lake New Melones, Angels Camp, CA, with the Bureau of Reclamation; Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park with the Department of the Interior; and the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. I homeschooled my children as we traveled. I now spend my summers in Yellowstone National Park with my family, where my husband is a Law Enforcement Park Ranger, and I am a seasonal VIP.with aspirations of becoming a seasonal NPS Ranger. I have recently moved to Belton, Tx, and spend the winters here where I teach Kindergarten.
