About Joanne Joyce

With over 12 years of experience in the social care sector, I currently work as the Head of Quality, Risk, and Practice at Harmony Care, a leading providers of residential care for children and young people. I have a Level 8 BA degree in Social Care, a Certificate in Applied Management, and a Certificate in Regulation and Inspection. In my role, I lead on quality assurance, risk management, and best practice across our services. My work includes registering new residential care centres, making sure we meet all legal and regulatory standards, and supporting services to remain compliant at all times. I carry out audits, service reviews, and assessments, and I develop clear policies and procedures to guide our teams. I also deliver training, coaching, and support to staff to help improve practice on the ground. I have a strong background in youth work, human resources, recruitment, community care, and I’m a certified instructor in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) and I facilitate various trainings for our team members (risk management, complaints, placement planning etc.). I'm passionate about supporting children and young people to feel safe, respected, and empowered, and I’m committed to learning and growing as a leader in the sector.
