About Joanne Pham

I grew my first green bean plant in kindergarten, and at just five tender years, I became hooked on nature. Throughout my education, I have pursued a interdisciplinary approach to supporting the environment. From field ecology, plants genetics, urban forestry, and finally environmental business and communications, I have learned that perseverance and thinking outside the box can lead to lasting, synergetic solutions. I adore working with clients who come in with diverse projects to protect the environment or agriculture. These challenges are only opportunities to apply my GIS and communication skills to deliver innovative outcomes. I encouraged long-term collaboration between clients and communities these projects affect; researched and written reports on environmental, ag, and land-use policies; and created an environmental benefits model to map out areas with the most potential welfare increase from increased canopy cover. For many of these projects, I had to learn fast under high expectations. I delivered because I love what I do, and I am always ready to learn more to sharpen my skills. Now, I am looking for a new career ahead in environmental or agricultural project facilitation that will leverage my GIS and communication skills.
