About Joanne Undrell

I have experience of holding significant operational roles in John Lewis ( Sales, Supply Chain, Finance), the UK largest co-owned business. More latterly our unique ownership structure has enabled me to work for the “critical side” of the business advising and coaching business leaders on employee engagement best practice. I have also had responsibility for leading Pan Partnership change and cultural transformation programmes. A natural relationship builder, with excellent interpersonal skills who builds rapport quickly, backed by a strong moral compass of integrity and respect. I have demonstrable leadership and teamwork skills, am strong on critical and strategic thinking and have a proven track record in developing people and unlocking potential. Experienced in creating high performing teams focussing on achievement and delivery I’m an energetic, inspiring and engaging leader with the gravitas and confidence to operate effectively with Board and Executive Committees and the down to earth approach to engage all employees across a dispersed geography in shops, distribution units etc. Responsibilities currently include accountability for a governing authority of the Partnership, the Partnership Council and the democratic engagement of Waitrose Partners through the line management of a national team of leadership coaches.
